Our "golden" participation in “WORLD FOLK 2012”

Armenia had its “golden” participation in the “WORLD FOLK 2012” Folklore World Cup held in Bulgaria from August 23 to September 2 of this year. The representative of Armenia was tenor Karen Zohrabyan, graduate of the State Conservatory after Komitas. He was awarded as a gold medal, as well as “Golden Orpeos” and diplomas. In the first round of the championship Karen Zohrabyan, accompanied by pianist Anna Khachaturyan, performed “Without Masis”, “Erebuni-yerevan”, “Willow” and “Summer of love”, “Armenia” and “Apricot-coloured nights” in the second round. About 100 performers were participating in “WORLD FOLK 2012”.
