Aram Manukyan: independence adopted generation still fights for independence

We acquired independence not by our wish, but with the commandment of our generations, our kins, we acquired it with great deprivations, difficulties, but we acquired it with the whole nation, NA ANC MP Aram Mnaukyan told Lurer.com.
“More than two million people established the country, which is called Armenia. This independence brought with it enthusiasm, victories in Karabakh, the country became democratic, hundreds of medias, parties, thousands of social organizations have been formed. Everything which a nation found urgent to create Armenia, was acquired. Armenia became a member of international institutions. Apartments have been privatized and given to citizens. A country has been established. This way we became like other countries, our flag was risen in UNO. Our anthem sounded in different countries, embassies have been created.”
Aram Manukyan noted, that especially during the last ten years tools emerged, which hinder independence.
“Especially in last ten years bribery, corruption, monopoly, illiterates entrance to the Parliament, becoming an MP through money, becoming a Minister through brotherhood brought to disappointment, which is one of the tools hindering independence. This is damage for independence. When inner and outer immunity of the country weakens. When the citizen doesn’t believe his head but disgusts his leader, wants to get rid of him,” Manukyan said.
According to Manukyan free speech has begun, mind to supress, people appeared in jails and emigration began: “Emigration, which is the hardest demonstration, Armenia lost its outer friends, began to weaken, began to sell its property to other countries. They began to suppress the nation, which constructed independence, and this nation prefers to leave Armenia. They leave more, leave with accelerating temps, they leave disappointed.”
Manukyan also stated, there is independence in a wide sense, but the citizen’s faith in tomorrow’s day fades: “Thanks goodness, there are social, civil movements, political powers, there is the generation, that acquired independence and that generation still fights for independence. This is a process in which we are now.”
