Junior World Championship still goes on in Kosice city of Slovakia, where Andranik Karapetyan had a brilliant performance in 77kg weight category.
Our young athlete was declared world champion in biathlon by 331kg (155+176), overpassing the nearest competitor by 27 kg. Karapetyan also refreshed his own world records, set in the European Championship held in Bucharest about 3 weeks ago, by 1 kg both in snatch and biathlon. And the record for the push belongs to another Armenian athlete Aghvan Melikyan, who has pushed 182 kg in 2005.
Note that David Tatoyan, who performed in the same weight category, got the 6th place by 297 kg in biathlon.
