A British soldier found dead in Afghanistan yesterday is believed to have committed suicide.
Military police have launched a “full investigation” into the tragedy at Camp Bastion, where Prince Harry is stationed, mirror.co.uk website informs.
Sources said the unnamed member of the Royal ¬Electrical and Mechanical He is the 431st member of the British forces to die in Afghanistan since operations began in October 2001.
The camp came under heavy attack from Taliban insurgents last week.
However, the dead soldier is not thought to have been involved in the firefight.
The MoD said in a statement: "A full investigation into the circumstances is ongoing, but at this stage it is not thought to have been the result of hostile action.”
