PAP and RPA to control over one another in Dilijan

To get information on Dilijan local self-government elections Lurer.com contacted Heritage party secretary general Styopa Safaran. The latter informed that they are visiting all polling stations and voting process in general the atmosphere is not tense, serious violations haven’t been registered. Some problems arose in Gosh village, where the name of one of the candidates wasn’t written correctly in the bulletin, but the problem was settled: new bulletins have been printed and delivered to the polling station.
Styopa Safaryan also noted that yesterday was the last day of tension, gathering were noticed in streets and the atmosphere was a bit hot.
Safaryan also informed, that PAP and RPA mayor candidates are mutually realizing control over one another, one of which is RPA former mayor, whom PAP supports and from RPA the current mayor.
To note, local self-government elections are being held in 318 communities of Armenia’s 5 regions: Aragatsotn, Kotayk, Gegharkunik, Vayots Dzor and Tavush.
699 candidates have been nominated for head of community elections. 177 announced self-rejection, and currently their number is 521.
