Stepan Safaryan: the majority of voters depends on the candidate

"Heritage" party representative Stepan Safaryan, assessing the elections to local self-government bodies held on the previous day, mentioned, that the voting has passed normally, but it’s been observed, that election itself, for programs, even for the merits of the candidates, has not been.
"People mostly make a choice based on expediency, dependency that they have on different candidates, because merely the fact that we see who are the council members who have collected the most votes, it already speaks of everything. Maybe they are good guys, there is no problem, but only the absolute dependency and materialistic stimulations play a role in people’s voting. It means, that the candidate doesn’t have any chance of submitting a political program, because with such an approach, the voter doesn’t discuss programs for the development of the city, doesn’t discuss how the city is ruled. But that is already people’s choice, their demand is that, people want to make such a choice,” said Safaryan.
