MoD vehicle rolls over: 1 dies, 8 are injured

A GAZ 33081-model truck belonging to an Armenian Defense Ministry military unit went off road and rolled over at Aruch-Nor Amanos road in Aragatsotn Region, on Monday at around 4:30pm. As a result, Private Gor Galstyan, 19, died and nine other military servicemen sustained injuries, MOD Investigation Department Public Relations
In her words, the nine injured soldiers were initially transferred to capital city Yerevan’s “Armenia” Medical Center and, subsequently, to MOD Central Clinical Military Hospital. Gor Galstyan, however, did not regain consciousness at “Armenia” Medical Center, where he died on Tuesday at 12:20am.
Privates Vahe Khacheryan, Argishti Shahvelyan, Gegham Sahakyan, Hayk Pertizlyan, Sergeant Narek Ghevondyan, Junior Sergeant Narek Hovakimyan, and Senior Sergeant Arsen Yeritsyan are in satisfactory condition. But Private Harutyun Kirakosyan is in extremely critical condition.
MOD Investigation Department has launched a criminal lawsuit into this incident, and a respective investigation is underway.
