Robert Melkonyan: the dream of many people has come true: from now on I’m an ex-policeman
General News
Deputy Police Chief of Yerevan Robert Melkonyan wrote about the farewell to police system on his Facebook page:
"Rejoice, rejoice certain circles, enjoy the pleasure ... the dream of many people has come true: from now on I’m an ex- policeman… I’m am proud that I worked for the Ministry of Interior Affairs and police systems, I have worked in various positions, in rather intense, complex, contradictory and critical times- since the Soviet era up to now. Whatever position I have held in the system, I have worked with devotion, responsibility, I stood out with my creativity in work responsibilities and with my ability to express professional and most serious approach.
I’ve also stood out from the thousands of officers by keeping an immediate touch with people, with my initiative to make friends with you on FB, to cooperate, and why not, to have my little contribution in strengthening the police-society ties. People, do you know which one was the biggest rating for me? The fact that you didn’t address me as a deputy Police Chief of Yerevan, I was a deputy Police Chief for you, to whom you could make proposals, address with problems, inquiries about the entire police system. I’m thankful and don’t want to be modest, I think you’ve been right in the way you were assessing my values, and willy-nilly gave me a high position, which, I think, I’ve carried with success… Anyway, I’m not a policeman anymore, but police has always been my life, my past long way and will always remain dear to me… The life will show whether police lost when I left, or me, by taking a new job… I think that we both lost a lot… Dear Facebookers, I’m remaining your friend, I love you and I respect you. Even those, for who I’ve always been a target… maybe even appropriately in some cases… God is with you.
