Recently the poaching case in the state reserve “Khosrov forest” caused quite a storm. The nise connected with this had not calmed yet, when it was revealed that various foreign hunting clubs invite to hunt in Armenia, for animals which are registered in the Red Book. This wasn’t enough, it was revealed that Environment Minister Aram Harutyunyan is fond of hunting. It’s mentioned in his biography. Of course he has said about this when he was an Urban Development Minister (in “Who is who in Armenia” book published by “Mediamax” news agency in 2005), but one thing is clear, meople rarely change their preferences.
