Armenia
President Serzh Sargsyan attended on Friday the opening of the 8th annual DiGITec-2012 exhibition at the Technological International Exhibition at the Yerevan Scientific and Research institute of Mathematical Machines
According to the Armenian leader’s official website, the president toured pavilions where over a hundred organizations working in the
information, telecommunication technologies (ITT) sector presented their achievements and familiarized with the exhibit of IT devises and systems, engineering and high technologies, mobile, computer graphics as well as multimedia, financial, banking and innovative solutions and opportunities for the development of electronic governance.
The President later attended the ceremony agreement signing among the Yerevan Scientific and Research institute of Mathematical Machines, Union of the Information Technology Enterprises and Incubator Foundation of Enterprises, aimed at the development of telecommunication technologies.
Serzh Sargsyan also familiarized himself with items showcased in the frameworks of a robotics development and promotion program. The exhibits were created with the active participation of the talented students from different educational institutions of Armenia, who assisted their teachers in the process.
The President congratulated the teachers who have been participating in the exhibition for their impressive presentation and on the occasion of their professional holiday. In their person, Serzh Sargsyan congratulated all teachers of Armenia on the occasion.
“Probably, directing nice words of appreciation to the teachers is the easiest thing to do: throughout our lives, we all have had ample opportunities to express our admiration and convey words of gratitude to our teachers. It is truly wonderful that from generation to generation we are able to recognize and appreciate the teachers’ mission and their great role. It means that we also recognize and appreciate the role of education.
Today we, as a state, beside the nice words are trying to show in practical terms our attitude towards your work. Everything that we have already started or have planned, pursues one concrete goal – to constantly raise the role of education and teacher’s mission in
our society, to ensure your dignified position in the society and creative freedom.
I once again congratulate you and all teachers of Armenia, and wish you boundless energy and thoughtful pupils.
All the best to you, thank you,” the President of Armenia said.
