“Aravot”: Why some RPA members were “absent”
Armenian Press
The newspaper asked RPA faction head Galust Sahakyan, what it was connected with when during voting of Vartan Oskanian’s petition he was periodically making phone calls and forcing RPA members to come to voting, and he was periodically being reported. He replied: “No one was forced to come. We knew who was absent, who was on a working visit and wasn’t to come, who was ill an wasn’t to come. What was at the beginning we provided till the end. Of course, I don’t see anything bad in it. If you see any dangers, it’s worth uniting, but this was not the case.”
The newspaper also asked whether he agreed to his colleague Hamlet Harutyunyan’s observation on MPs which voted against, that “there’s a black sheep in every flock,” he replied: “I think he is an MP and I appreciate that he ‘s concerned on it. But I think, that there are some strategies, that not everyone could be aware of. It’s not acceptable for me, that they are against. At least, we also had a strategy. It’s not adequate to an RPA member, that someone can vote against. But here the issue is on other level. Don’t go so deep, as ai don’t think that politics can gain something from it.”
