Serzh Sargsyan in Jermuk

Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan paid a working visit to Vayots Dzor province today to attend the final session of 2nd conference of rural communities conducted in Armenia’s resort town of Jermuk.
President’s press office reported that heads of rural communities from all provinces of Armenia participated in the gathering.
The goal of the event is to discuss the up-to-date issues of municipal system and rural communities, experience exchange and support to stable development of rural communities.
The President said the state policy aims at addressing the issues of rural communities and means will be allocated from the state budget to assist the implementation of rural development programs.
Serzh Sargsyan stressed that the people’s complaints are connected mainly with social-economic condition, activities of local authorities. He stressed that the people are deprived of hope. “The public pessimism is one of the main problems of our country, it is a serious obstacle for our development and on our way to changes. We will of course change the situation,” he stressed, adding that each citizen of Armenia will see and believe that the path Armenia has chosen is taking far.
