Techno park idea becomes a reality: Armenia’s PM

Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, accompanied with Economy Minister Tigran Davtyan, visited the construction site of Gyumri’s techno park and familiarized himself with the carried out work.
Speaking to reporters, PM said the idea of Gyumri techno park is becoming a reality.
According to government’s website, Tigran Sargsyan convened a consultation with the representatives of state institutions and construction company. The PM was reported that the construction works launched on June 1, 2012, and are intended to be accomplished in 2013. The works are ongoing in accordance with the established schedule and are of high quality.
The head of the government instructed to continue the works taking into consideration the historic-cultural significance of the building.
“The construction of techno park continues in high tempos. In its turn, international D-Link company is planning to establish a new institution where the branches of the company will be roomed. So the idea of techno park is becoming a reality as we have promised to the residents of Gyumri,” the PM said, speaking to reporters.
Currently 7 beginner companies have started their activity there. They are from IT, architectural, energy and jewelry areas. D-Link company’s research and testing center is operating there too. By the end of December E-WORKS, INTRACOL and Macadamian companies will establish their branches there.
The techno park, which in future will ensure 300 jobs, organizes educational programs on multimedia, electronics, telecommunication, 3D modeling, etc.
