Turkey can close air ways for Armenia: media

If the airport of NKR launches its works, Turkey can close its air ways for Armenia, Azeri APA agency reports making reference to its diplomatic sources. According to those sources some agreement has been reached between Turkey an Azerbaijan on the issue.
According to the statement found there the following issue has been much discussed recently by Azeri and Turkish institutions. Note, Turkey’s MFA before condemned reopening of the airport in NKR considering it an instigation to prevent peaceful settlement of Karabakh conflict.
Stepanakert airport (opened in 1974) suspended its activity in 1992, when large-scale military actions launched between NKR, which declared its independence and Azerbaijan. Renovation works of the airport began 4 years ago. When the Armenian side declared about recovery of regular flights, Baku appeared with threats promising to drop any plane which will take off or land. This arose negative attitude of international community, and official Yerevan named the threats “display of state terror.”
President Serzh Sargsyan declared, that he’ll become the first passenger of Armenia-Karabakh flight.
