Turkey deploys 250 tanks along Syrian border

Turkey has deployed 250 tanks along its southern border with Syria amid rising tensions with the Damascus government over the past few days, Press TV reported.

According to Hurriyet, there are around 60 tanks in the Şanlıurfa, Mardin and Gaziantep regions.

The government decided not to take any action against Syria for now. Commanders have asked soldiers to be on the alert to ensure border security and prevent incursion by terrorists.
