Joint UN & Arab League special envoy on Syria Brahimi due to Turkey

Joint UN and Arab League's special envoy on Syria, Lakhdar Brahimi will arrive in Turkey on Saturday, Anadolu news agency reports.
Diplomatic sources said that Brahimi will meet Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu in Istanbul on Saturday.
Brahimi and Davutoglu had met in New York at the end of September during which Brahimi told Davutoglu he wanted to visit Turkey.
Lakhdar Brahimi will exchange views with Turkish officials on Syria.
Brahimi's spokesperson Ahmad Fawzi recently announced that Brahimi would visit Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Egypt as part of a tour in the Middle East. The spokesperson added that Brahimi may include Iran onto his list of Middle Eastern countries to be visited.
