The President expresses his condolences to His Holiness Garegin II

Today President Serzh Sargsyan sent a telegram of condolences to His Holiness Catholicos of All Armenians GareGin II, concerning the death of Patriarch of the Holy See of Jerusalem, Archbishop Torkom Manoogian. The telegram particularly reads:
"Your Holiness,
I learned with deep sorrow of the death of Patriarch of the Holy See of Jerusalem, Archbishop Torkom Manoogian.
Heading the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem for many decades and unconditionally serving his nation and faith Archbishop Torkom Manoogian had an invaluable investment as in spreading the spiritual values of the Armenian nation, as well as in creating an atmosphere of tolerance and healthy dialogue between different religions. The memory of the great intellectual and the devoted follower of Armenian Apostolic Church will always remain in our hearts.
I am deeply sorry for the irretrievable loss and sincerely share the grief of all the believers of Armenian Apostolic Church. Let the Lord spread stamina and spiritual piece in our souls in such a hard time.”
