As a result of a survey conducted by Russia’s Sport Express newspaper, Armenian national football team and Ukraine’s FC Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan is recognized as September’s player of the month in post-Soviet countries’ clubs.

The 23-year-old tallied 41 points and passed by two pointys Ukrainian midfielder Yevhen Konoplianka, and Belarusian striker Vitali Rodionov is third with 38 points.

Armenian national football squad and Russia’s FC Krasnodar forward Yura Movsisyan came in fifth, with 33 points. Henrikh Mkhitaryan still tops the overall standings, with 247 points.
