Syrian local Sana news agency commented the incident which occurred with the plane transferring humanitarian aid to Aleppo from Armenia through Turkish airspace.
The publication particularly reads: “Turkey’s call addressed to Syria’s neighbors on banning the airspace for Syrian planes failed. But Erdoghan seems like not to get any lesson from this, and his next step was forced landing of the Armenian plane in their zone to ceck the cargo. This time the Turks developed the scenario in other direction, letting transit flight og Armenian plane only with the demand of “technical landing.”
After landing the Armenian plane was occupied by fire guard vehicles, and cargo underwent thorough examination. The Armenian side agreed to the conditions being sure in its rightness and in the fact that the cargo doesn’t contain any prohibited item. The diplomatic source informs that there was humanitarian aid in the airport, but reporters were banned to pe present at examination.
Thus, Yerevan displayed exceptional restraint and cold-bloodedness towards Turkish provocative actions, which is worthy to our respect.”
Note, the humanitarian aid has been organized by the efforts of ARF party. The Armenian plane was transferring aid, as well as food within the framework “Help a Brother” initiative.
