Heritage party at the EPP congress in Bucharest

Senior representatives of the opposition Heritage party attended on Tuesday the European People’s Party assembly in Bucharest.
On the sidelines of the meeting, the chief secretary of the party, Stepan Safaryan, and the secretary of the Heritage parliamentary faction, Zaruhi Postanjyan, met with delegates of member parties from other states, and EPP officials. According to a press release by the Heritage party, they particularly had meetings with EPP President Wilfried Martens, Vice President Yatsek Sariush-Volsky, Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, President of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly Jean Claude-Mignon, and other national delegations and parliamentarians.
The Heritage members briefed the officials on the party’s activities, Armenia’s domestic political situation, and the upcoming presidential election. They also considered plans for a full cooperation with the EPP. Heritage’s stance on regional and foreign policy issue was also a topic of interest.
The Heritage delegates participate today in the EPP’s 21st session, The Answer is More Europe, which will last through Thursday, October 18
