A new party has been created in Armenia, named "The Armenian Bastion," with Amram Petrosyan as its chairman

On October 27, 2023, a new political party named " The Armenian Bastion" was registered in Armenia.

The "Past" newspaper sought to understand who decided to establish a new presence in Armenia's colorful political landscape, which, to say the least, is not lacking in political parties. We were informed that the chairman of the political party is Amram Petrosyan, born in Kapan. He is not a newcomer to the public and political arena. In the years 2010-2012, he led the Party of Pensioners of Ukraine, and under his leadership, that political force achieved its highest historical success, securing the 9th position in the Verkhovna Rada elections.

Mr. Petrosyan is recognized as an international expert in political science and interethnic relations. He also serves as the head of the Foundation for Development of Modern Diplomacy. According to a reliable source, "The Armenian Bastion" will primarily position itself as a socio-economic platform committed to facilitating economic, social, and humanitarian initiatives undertaken by the diaspora in Armenia. Additionally, the party has expressed a positive disposition toward engaging in interaction and dialogue with other political forces and leaders to develop the most effective national paths and strategies.
