Mher Grigoryan to ADB head: Joint programs are in line with Armenia government’s strategic priorities
PoliticalArmenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan received Asian Development Bank (ADB) President Masatsugu Asakawa, Armenian News-NEWS.am was informed by the press service of the government of Armenia. Welcoming the guest, the deputy PM lauded Armenia’s cooperation with ADB, and noted that the jointly implemented programs are in line with the strategic priorities of the Armenian government. Grigoryan emphasized the ADB's direct cooperation with private sector companies, and stressed its importance in developing the right business culture in Armenia. During the meeting, the deputy premier briefed the President of ADB on the basic needs of forcibly displaced Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh and the respective assistance measures being implemented by the Armenian government, as well as addressed the issues that require a long-term solution. The interlocutors emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation in infrastructure and human capital development. Views were exchanged also on the necessary reforms in employment and digitization.
