Mnatsakan Safaryan: Deepening of relations with India is priority for Armenia
PoliticalArmenia has had close cultural ties with India since early times. During 30 years, these relations have consistently developed; and during three years, a serious growth trend was observed, especially in terms of political dialogue. Armenian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mnatsakan Safaryan stated this at the conference, on the topic of "New Regional Realities and The ‘Crossroads of Peace,’" being held in Armenia’s capital of Yerevan. Safaryan noted that the development and deepening of relations with India are among Armenia's foreign political priorities. "We highly appreciate the position that India expresses on international platforms, especially in the special sessions of the UN Security Council, on matters related to Armenia," Safaryan added. He emphasized that Armenia supports India's aspiration to become a permanent member of the UN Security Council.
