Khachaturian International Competition in ‘violin’ category being held in China’s Beijing
Science and cultureThe Khachaturian International Competition in the "violin" professional category started on December 17 in Beijing, the capital of China. It is dedicated to the 120th birth anniversary of the great Armenian composer, Aram Khachaturian.
This competition is being held in China for the first time, the Aram Khachaturian Cultural Foundation informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.
The Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of its artistic director and chief conductor Sergey Smbatyan, also is invited to this competition. The orchestra will accompany the finalists.
Also, the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra will perform at this competition’s gala concert, which will take place on December 28.
During the tour to China, the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra will also perform three concerts on December 29, December 30, and December 31. Aram Khachaturian's works also will be played in these concerts.
