Armenia territorial administration, infrastructure minister lauds cooperation with CoE congress

Gnel Sanosyan, the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia, received a delegation led by Bernd Vohringer, President of the Chamber of Local Authorities of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe (CoE).

The minister lauded the cooperation with the aforesaid CoE congress, the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

During the meeting, they discussed, in particular, the process of accommodation—in Armenia—of Armenians forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh, as well as assistance programs for them.

The representatives of the aforementioned CoE congress were interested in how the programs for the accommodation of these forcibly displaced persons, shelters, and other assistance were implemented and organized in Armenia. And Minister Sanosyan presented the whole process in detail, and emphasized the respective role of Armenia's local government agencies.

Also, the further development of the abilities and capacities of Armenia's local government agencies, and the expansion of their capabilities in providing quality services to the population were highlighted.
