Information security expert: Russia intelligence hacker group attacked Armenia state agencies in summer
Armenian PressThe Fancy Bear hacking group, which belongs to Russia's main intelligence agency, carried out hacking attacks on government institutions in Armenia, Ukraine, and Tajikistan this summer. Armenian information security expert Samvel Martirosyan stated this at a press conference Tuesday.
He added that the aforesaid hacking group has carried out major attacks on Armenia, including its state agencies, several times over the past ten years.
"We know this from the report published by the international organization," Martirosyan emphasized.
The information security expert added that before Azerbaijan's military attacks on Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), hacker attacks were detected on the state agencies of Armenia and Artsakh, but apparently they were not very successful.
