Defense minister: Measures to be taken soon that will considerably increase Armenia troops’ combat readiness (PHOTOS)

A meeting of the board under the Minister of Defense of Armenia was held Wednesday under the chairmanship of Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan.

The agenda of the meeting was the state of combat readiness, preparation, morale and psychological support of the leadership of the troops of the Armenian Armed Forces in the academic year of 2023, and the priority issues of the academic year of 2024.

The problems, main events, and achievements were pointed out during the meeting, Armenian News-NEWS.am has learned from the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.

Summing up the meeting and giving a number of instructions to the heads of the responsible units regarding the priority issues of the 2024 academic year, Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan assured that a number of works and programs are already underway, and measures will be taken in the near future as well that will considerably contribute to the combat readiness of the Armenian troops, the improvement of the condition, the fighting and leadership abilities of the Armenian Armed Forces, as well as the improvement of the social and living conditions of the servicemen.

At the end of the meeting, the commanders of the Armenian military units who recorded the best indicators according to the results of the preparation for the 2023 academic year were handed transfer flags, and a number of servicemen distinguished by conscientious service were awarded with the Armenian defense ministry medals, certificates of honor, and valuable gifts.
