Russia multiplies arms production — Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin has declared a multiple increase in weapons production.

"I have already said, we’ve seen a multiple increase in the amount of armaments produced. When I speak about industry and about the growth of industrial production, I have this in mind too. But not only," Putin said a meeting with military servicemen at the Vishnevsky hospital.

He added that one-third of the growth had been achieved with reliance on civilian sectors.

"This is very important. This is probably the most important thing - the stability of the financial and economic system and of the real sector of the economy," he emphasized.
