Russia presidential spox: News that Putin is going to make ‘startling statement’ is fake
RussiaDmitry Peskov, press secretary of the Russian President, told RIA Novosti that the news that Russian President Vladimir Putin is going to make a "startling statement" on global security is fake.

According to him, the messages about Putin's upcoming statement started appearing on Telegram.
The Politjoystik Telegram account with an audience of 213,000 and run by Marat Bashirov, a professor at the Higher School of Economics, on Tuesday wrote that in the next two days, Russian President Putin may "make a startling statement on global security issues and, in particular, on the Ukrainian issue." The post adds that this statement "will not be an ultimatum, but it will be hard in its parameters," reports RBC.
