As part of the KAFES-28 operation, 56 people declared internationally wanted by Interpol from 18 countries were arrested in Turkey. Turkish minister of the interior Ali Yerlikaya informed about this on X.
"Operations were carried out in 11 regions of Turkey for persons wanted by the USA, Germany, Azerbaijan, UAE, Belarus, Morocco, Palestine, India, Israel, Iran, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Turkmenistan and Jordan. They were wanted for crimes related to money laundering, migrant smuggling, drug trafficking, bribery, human trafficking, theft, fraud, etc.,"
