State Dept.: Russia doesn’t prevent US from conducting important diplomatic efforts necessary for Armenia, Azerbaijan
PoliticalNo, Russia does not in any way prevent us from conducting the important diplomatic efforts we think are necessary for Armenia and Azerbaijan, and we will continue to pursue them. Matthew Miller, Spokesperson of the US Department of State, stated this during Thursday’s Department press briefing—and when asked whether Russia was preventing the US from moving forward on the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process.
And to the question as to when the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan will meet again in the US, Miller responded: “(…) we’ll have an announcement to make when we have a meeting scheduled.”
