Passenger train, large truck collide in Czech Republic, train conductor dies
Emergency CaseThe InterCity 546 Ostravan high-speed passenger train and a large truck collided in the Czech Republic.
The crash took place in Dolni Lutyne village in Karvina District in the Moravian-Silesian Region, the management of the Czech railways operator informed on Х.
"Our colleague, the conductor of the train, was killed," the statement added, in particular. "The vehicle blocked the path of the train at the railway crossing."
According to preliminary data, 15 passengers of the train were injured.
The train traffic was suspended for the whole day at the railway section where the collision took place.
The InterCity 546 Ostravan high-speed train carries passengers between the Czech capital of Prague and Bohumin town in the northeast of the country.
