Armenia defense minister: We have succeeded in expanding technico-military cooperation by finding new partners
VideoEfforts to replenish the armament of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia at a level suitable for the leading armies of the 21st century have yielded tangible results over the past year. Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan stated this at Sunday’s festive event dedicated to the 32nd anniversary of the Armenian army.
"We have succeeded in expanding the technico-military cooperation by finding new partners and taking tangible steps in the direction of diversification of armaments, which will help to form a more stable and reliable security environment around the Republic of Armenia," Papikyan said.
He emphasized the efforts to provide the needs of the Amerindian army with domestic products.
"I cannot fail to mention the programs aimed at the development of the [Armenian] military industry and the efforts to provide the needs of the army with domestic products. To put it simply, we should not import what we can produce ourselves in our country—with a lower cost price and good quality," said the defense minister of Armenia.
