Yeghoyan to Maragos: Armenia-EU partnership agreement implementation is priority for country's ruling political force
ArmeniaChair of the National Assembly Standing Committee on European Integration Arman Yeghoyan, Deputy Chair Meri Galstyan, and Committee members Elinar Vardanyan, Sona Ghazaryan, Armen Gevorgyan, and Tatevik Gasparyan on Thursday met with the Head of the Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Armenia, Ambassador Vassilis Maragos.
Welcoming the guest, Arman Yeghoyan highly appreciated the cooperation with the EU, the NA informs Armenian News-NEWS.am. Touching upon the implementation of the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement, the Committee considered it of priority for Armenia and its ruling political force. In the effective implementation of the Agreement, Arman Yeghoyan raised the issue of providing the EU Expert potential.
The sides discussed issues regarding the development of Armenia-EU relations, the deepening of cooperation in different spheres.
The Committee members spoke about the necessity of the implementation of the joint projects aimed at strengthening of the institutional capacities of parliament.
The Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Armenia, thanking the MPs for reception, talked about the possibilities of bilateral cooperation. Vassilis Maragos referred to the programs being implemented with the EU support, as well as the agenda and priorities of the new partnership.
