Mikhail Galuzin: Russia role in Armenia-Azerbaijan dialogue has no alternative
RussiaRussia's role in the dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan has no alternative. This was announced by Russia Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mikhail Galuzin, in an interview on the Russia 24 television.
Galuzin commented on the process for the settlement of the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan. He noted that Russia's task today is to help the two countries in their search for reconciliation and peaceful cooperation.
"Under the auspices of Russia, at the initiative of [Russian] President Vladimir Putin, the foundations of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan were established," the Russian official emphasized.
He stressed that Russia provides assistance regarding the entire complex of matters related to the signing of a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Galuzin added that the Russian side is in possession of materials necessary for Armenian-Azerbaijani border delimitation.
The Russian diplomat expressed hope that Armenia will return to the tripartite settlement process, instead of engaging foreign players.
Also, he noted that Moscow is always ready to provide a platform for dialogue.
