Newspaper: Why is Armenia PM going to France?
Armenian PressHraparak daily of Armenia writes as follows: [PM] Nikol Pashinyan, according to our information, will leave for France today to participate in the reburial ceremony of the remains of French national hero, Missak Manouchian, in the Paris Pantheon.
Manouchian will be laid to rest alongside French greats Victor Hugo, [Jean-Jacques] Rousseau, Emile Zola, and Alexandre Dumas.
The decision to transfer his remains to the pantheon was made by [French President] Emmanuel Macron.
Missak Manouchian was one of the heroes of the Second World War resistance, he and the members of his group fell on February 21, 1944.
The [Armenian] government's news office gave a duty answer to the question about Pashinyan's visit: "The prime minister's staff properly informs about all visits."
