Reuters: Framework for 6-week Gaza truce agreement is in place with Israel's consent. Hamas is next in line

The framework for an agreement that would establish a six-week ceasefire in Gaza is in place with Israel's consent and depends on the Hamas militant group agreeing to release hostages, Reuters reported, citing a senior U.S. administration official.

"The hostages must be released," the official told reporters on a conference. -A deal has been reached in principle. But I don't want to create expectations one way or the other."
