Edmon Marukyan formally dismissed as Armenia Ambassador-at-Large
PoliticalAccording to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's decision, Edmon Marukyan has been relieved from the position of Ambassador-at-Large of Armenia.
The aforesaid decision was signed Monday.
Marukyan had announced that he submitted a petition for his dismissal from the aforementioned position to Pashinyan
"I have assumed this responsibility in a very difficult period for our State and the region in general and have performed my duties in this mission with high sense of responsibility and devotion. However, the difference in our visions regarding a number of fundamental foreign policy issues in the recent months, makes my further involvement impossible in Armenia’s foreign affairs," Marukyan had written, in particular, on X—former Twitter.
