Medvedev: Russia doesn’t need other people's land but it will never give up what it has
RussiaRussia does not need other people's land, but it will not give up what it has, said Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, TASS reported.
"I want to say about obvious things that our friends and allies know [and that] our opponents should know. We don't need other people's land, but we will never give up what we have either; that's how it was and it will be like that," the Russian politician said during his lecture at the Knowledge: The First marathon.
Medvedev emphasized that the principle "we don't want a single inch of someone else's land, but we won't give even half a centimeter of ours" applies also to the Russian continental shelf.
