Army General Staff chief: Currently no troop buildup on Armenia borders
VideoCurrently, there is no troop buildup on the borders of Armenia, the Armed Forces of Armenia are closely following the adversary's movements by all means. Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia, Edvard Asryan, told this to reporters Tuesday morning at Yerablur Military Pantheon in Yerevan.
"The operational situation is assessed to be relatively stable. As for the fact that there are Azerbaijani positions in the direction of Nerkin Hand [village], the line of contact is a structure in which positions are installed both by the adversary [i.e. Azerbaijan] and our side, and if the adversary has 20 positions, then there are probably as many on our side; I won't disclose the amount. The Armed Forces of Armenia will carry out the tasks set before them at the boundary they are at," said Asryan.
