Newspaper: Ruling force MPs to discuss Armenia's EU membership candidacy in closed meeting with PM
Armenian PressZhoghovurd newspaper of Armenia writes: The closed meetings of [PM] Nikol Pashinyan and the CC [i.e. ruling Civil Contract Party] members take place in series.
Zhoghovurd daily informed that today the prime minister and the ministers will again go to the parliament for a closed meeting with the MPs of the ruling wing.
This is already the third meeting of the CC members and Nikol Pashinyan in recent days.
And what do the authorities discuss during these intensive meetings?
According to our sources, [Armenia] becoming a candidate for European Union membership is the agenda topic at the CC these days, and they discuss this matter during meetings with the prime minister.
This matter was also on the agenda of the meeting with SC [i.e. Security Council] Secretary Armen Grigoryan yesterday.
According to our information, the SC Secretary will be the main curator of the process of [Armenia] becoming a candidate for EU membership.
As our sources report, Nikol Pashinyan intends to finish this matter very quickly, so it is not excluded that Armenia will submit an application to become a candidate for European Union membership in a short period of time. But it is difficult to say how long it will wait in that line.
