FM: EU monitoring mission presence in Armenia played significant role in stabilizing situation on Azerbaijan border
Armenian PressThe presence of the European Union (EU) civilian monitoring mission played a significant role in stabilizing the situation on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated this at a joint press conference with his visiting Cypriot colleague, Constantinos Kombos, in Yerevan Thursday.
Mirzoyan emphasized the continuity of work aimed at ensuring stability in Armenia’s region, for which purpose the EU civilian monitoring mission has been deployed at the country’s border with Azerbaijan.
"Since its deployment, it has played a tangible role in establishing stability in the entire perimeter, and Armenia has already welcomed the expansion of the mission's mandate," noted the Armenian FM.
