European Council's Political and Security Committee Members to visit Armenia
Աշխարհ Members of the Security and Political Affairs Committee of the Council of Europe will be on a working visit to Armenia on 8-9 April.
According to Armenpress Brussels correspondent, the meetings are scheduled in Yerevan and in the office of the EU observer mission.
The purpose of the visit is to gain insight into the developments in the region and the Armenian-Azerbaijani peace process.
The delegation will also visit Georgia and Azerbaijan.
The Security and Political Affairs Committee of the European Council is composed of ambassadors from the member states of the EU. Its core responsibilities include overseeing the EU's common foreign and security policy, as well as the common security and defense policy.
The committee's key functions involve monitoring international developments, suggesting strategic approaches to the European Council and offering political oversight over crisis management operations.
