Gold price renews all-time record

The price of gold renewed its historical record in Monday’s trading.
June futures peaked at $2,285.07 per troy ounce, up 0.8%, at the London Metal Exchange (LME).
Compared to the previous day, the price increased by 0.29%, and by 9.7% since the beginning of the year.
The price of this precious metal had crossed the $2,100 mark for the first time on March 27 at the closing of trading. Since then, the price of gold has set new records for five consecutive trading days.
