Newspaper: PM Pashinyan trying to put an end to Armenia-Russia relations hanging by a thread
Armenian PressHraparak daily of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes as follows, in particular: The RF [(Russian Federation)] reacted quite harshly to the tripartite meeting [between Armenia, the EU, and the US] expected in Brussels on April 5. And the Armenian side responded sharply. That "responsible job" seems to have been entrusted to NA [(National)] spokesperson Allen Simonyan. This figure, once accepted by Russian circles, went so far that he said on the air of H1 [Public Television] the other day that Russia has set a task of "bringing" our statehood “to its knees,” that the RF allowed Azerbaijan's attack on Armenia, the surrender of Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)], etc. [Sergey] Kopyrkin, the RF ambassador to the RA, described all that as a lie.
[Armenian PM Nikol] Pashinyan is trying, with Alen Simonyan's mouth, to put an end to the Armenian-Russian relations hanging by a thread, and he kills several birds with one stone at once: he "spoils" Alen Simonyan to the end, probes how the RF will react to these statements; if the reaction is too harsh, it will "sacrifice" the NA president that it was his personal opinion. If it is not too harsh, he will fly into the arms of the West once and for all, burning all the Armenian-Russian bridges.
