Hungary can support process of finalizing peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan: Szijjártó
USAHungary is in a position to communicate with both Armenia and Azerbaijan based on mutual respect, said Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó.
"After restoring diplomatic ties with Armenia, broke the record of trade, established a direct flight, and welcomed a total of 1,000 children from displaced families to spend their summer holidays in our country. We have also provided an additional 800,000 euros to families in need. Moreover, we plan to start cooperation in the energy sector and open embassies," Szijjártó stated.
He added that Hungary also has strategic partnership relations with Azerbaijan. According to Szijjártó, this puts us in a position that we can help the procedure to finalize the peace agreement between the two countries. He mentioned that Budapest could serve as a venue for negotiations between the two countries.
