More than 800 of nearly 3,000 trucks waiting to pass through Upper Lars checkpoint are from Armenia
VideoThe line up of trucks waiting to cross the Russian-Georgian border at the Upper Lars checkpoint in North Ossetia is more than 2,700 vehicles, reports the website of the North Ossetian traffic management center.
As of Monday morning, 2,734 trucks were registered in the online traffic queue, and 847 of them have Armenian license plates.
On July 26, traffic through the Upper Lars checkpoint was blocked due to a mudslide, but later the road was reopened.
This motorway is the only operational land road that connects Armenia with Russia via Georgia.
