Floods sweep across India's Kerala as landslides leave over 50 dead, hundreds missing

Reuters was also able to confirm the date of the footage from original file metadata. Local media also reported about the destruction of a school following the landslide in the area.
Hillsides gave way after midnight following torrential rainfall on Monday (July 29) in Kerala, a state renowned as one of India's most popular tourist destinations.
Most of the victims were estate workers and their families who were asleep at the time in makeshift tents.
