"Gallup": 80.3% of respondents opposed to changes in Armenian Constitution
Science and culture80.3% of respondents polled in July thought that the Constitution of Armenia should remain unchanged, 11.7% thought that some provisions should be changed, 3.3% thought that the country needs a completely new Constitution. Aram Navasardyan, Director of the Armenian office of Gallup International Research Center, said at a meeting with journalists on July 10.
He explained that earlier, before Azerbaijani President Aliyev's statements demanding to change Armenia's Constitution, the figures were different.
"In particular, in January, only 38.1% of respondents believed that the Armenian Constitution should remain unchanged, 34.2% believed that some provisions should be changed, and 13.4% believed that Armenia needs a completely new Constitution," Navasardyan added.
