Preliminary results of French National Assembly elections known: Macron's coalition is second

In the elections of the National Assembly of France, the coalition of left parties, New Popular Front won, receiving 182 mandates. These data were published in Monde newspaper.

 

President Emmanuel Macron's centrist coalition is in second place with 168 mandates.

 

Marine Le Pen’s far-right National Rally party became the third, it will be represented in the parliament by 143 deputies.

 

The Republicans can hope for 45 mandates, while the rest of the forces received 39 mandates together.

 

Meanwhile, Parisien newspaper later reported that according to the latest updated data from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the New Popular Front won 174 seats, President Macron's coalition 156, and the National Rally 143. According to these data, the Republican Party and its allies will receive 66 mandates, and the others - 38.
